The Lakeside Disability Rights Advocacy Initiative (Lakeside) is a community based organization in the Oti Region for the empowerment of people with disabilities. In order to raise money for the families of local disabled people, Lakeside wanted to start a communal agricultural project, growing crops for the local market. To prevent problems with water shortages, an irrigation installation was necessary. Also the area had to be fenced, to keep animals out of the fields. Help Ghana was able to fund this project through donations of its sponsors.
