The Henry House Community School is located in the Volta Region of Ghana, with almost 200 students attending. The spokesperson for this school reached out to Help Ghana to ask for help in accomplishing her goal: to establish a community library. She sadly noticed that in the surroundings of the school, there is no place where students and other interested people can go to read and learn. Opening a community library would enable both the school’s students and the wider population to benefit from a collection of more than a thousand books. A room for the library has already been assigned, and the library books have already been collected, ready to be used. All that is left to do is the renovation work.

Help Ghana agreed to fully cover the required budget to make the renovation of the library room happen. Luckily, the project will be enabled with much help from community members through voluntary labour and support from the organization EduSpots in providing reading materials and sharing ideas. This has significantly reduced costs.

With excitement, the process of this collective effort will be followed.
