Kumawu Technical Institute in the Ashanti Region reached out to us for support in improving their main assembly hall, a space that plays an important role in school life. The hall originally had a simple sand floor, which became dusty in the dry season and muddy whenever it rained. As a result, it was difficult to use the space throughout the year.

With guidance from the staff, students took the lead in learning and practising the skills needed to lay a cement floor. Together, they completed the entire project within a week. Thanks to their hard work, the hall can now be used in all seasons, and new door and window frames have made the attached office spaces more secure and functional.

This project not only improved the school’s facilities, but also gave students hands-on experience they can carry into their future careers.
