Okorase Presby Basic School reached out to Help Ghana for support to improve the school’s infrastructure and create a safer, more functional environment for its students.
With the support of Help Ghana, all necessary materials were provided, and the project became a true community effort. Teachers, some parents, and local workers worked side by side to repair damaged cement areas around the school, restore the walkways, and construct new steps leading to the classrooms.
As a result, children can now move safely around the school without risk of injury, and classrooms are easily and securely accessible. The improvements have transformed the school grounds, making them more welcoming and practical for everyday learning.
This project is a shining example of how collaboration within a community, combined with modest support from abroad, can achieve significant and lasting results. It demonstrates that even relatively small investments can create a safe, inspiring space where children can learn, play, and thrive.
